Join Candi with special guest Golden Czermak photographer, author, and model.  Back in 2012 - well after completing college with a Chemical Engineering Degree and working the corporate rat race as an environmental, health, and safety manager - I began a small photography company in the small town of Athens, Alabama. Starting with taking photos on the weekend, the FuriousFotog® brand grew to over 2 million followers on social media and I became an internationally published modeling/fitness photographer with a focus on romance book covers. Eventually, I also began working as a book cover model myself. Having been in the industry for over eight years, I've interfaced and networked with countless authors and other clients. As part of my work as a photographer and designer, I've captured many book cover images for them, licensing both photos and designs which now number over 1650. Candi Fox welcomes cover model, fitness expert, and former Air Force Fireman, Kevin Davis.  Kevin was born and raised in Gadsden AL. After joining the Air Force, he served as a firefighter during Desert Storm. Kevin spent over a decade with chronic pain and had two surgeries on his neck. The constant pain led to an addiction and eventually, he hit rock bottom. He went to the Tuscaloosa VA for rehab and has been clean since 4-16-18. Kevin liked Tuscaloosa enough that he decided to stay. He found focusing on fitness helped him with recovery. After years of working in healthcare administration, he took a job at Crunch Fitness and is now the Assistant General Manager. Two years ago, famous photographer and author Golden Czermak of Furiousfotog(raphy) approached me online about doing a photoshoot for romance book covers. It is currently the only International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA)-sanctioned rodeo in the Northeast. Men, women, members of the LGBTQ community, and their straight allies will be competing equally in all rodeo events. Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome to compete. A portion of the rodeo proceeds will go directly KSGRA's charity partner, the LGBT Center of Central PA.

No matter what genre you are writing in, you can use the same basic guidelines to start your next great novel.   This week we talk about story boarding and the importance of visualizing your book. While this process can be time consuming and intricate, many large studios use this technique to develop films. Storyboards are also used for books, businesses, ineractive media, and more. Most novelist write their books in scenes rather than chapters. Storyboarding is a creative way to define the scene before it is written. The exclusive story written by Candi and Teresa will continue to be told in this episode.

The idea of backyard gardening is nothing new, but people are finally getting back to the idea that we need to grow our own food. With GMO's and pesiticides running rampant across America people want a healthier choice in their food supply. One way is to grow your own. In the past people thought you had to have a lot of land to grow your own food. Most families are smaller than they were a few decades ago and will be able to plant small gardens in their backyards, porches, or balconies. You can use boxes, large pots, old barrels and many other containers to grow a garden. You can also grow gardens using tubing, and water, no soil needed. Sustainable gardening is possible for everyone.
